Judge Kenneth A. Abraham Resume

Following a decade and half as a judge, Retired Judge Kenneth A. Abraham has become Of Counsel to DiTommaso-Lubin. Ken chairs the firm’s arbitration and mediation sections and serves as a litigation consultant to the firm. With just under forty years practicing as a lawyer and trial judge, Ken has developed substantial experience and skills as a litigator, mediator and arbitrator.

Ken presided as a judge in wide variety of cases including consumer cases. Ken is certified as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit’s program for Mandatory Arbitration. As Supervising Judge of Mediation, Ken has provided training to many lawyers who then acted as mediators, has been featured on cable television describing on the advantages of mediation, and sat on the International Conference of Conciliation Courts’ faculty. As a judge, Ken initiated the Pilot Project mandating mediation of automobile accident cases with the requirement of attendance of by insurance adjusters. In the first year, Ken presided over the settlement of over 325 cases, many of the mediations resolved in a few months following the filing of the lawsuit. The Pilot Project’s success led the Circuit Court to adopt a court rule continuing the Program. Ken now brings his litigation.
